Yesterday, some dude cut my eyes open with a laser, then shot at them with a different laser for about a minute. Now i can see! It didn't hurt, but it was really uncomfortable. Still, when i got up this morning I started looking for my glasses by habit, then when I realized that i didn't need them, it was one of the greatest feelings ever.

Added an entry to my calendar today. 1/9/07, 1:30pm, LASIK surgery. yup.

Spent last weekend in Chicago, hanging out with Chad. Holy crap, that had to be one of the best weekends ever. Lots of bar, restaurant and microbrewery hopping with Mike, Chad, Jana and some of their friends. Also hit up the Adler Planetarium and the Museum of Science and Industry. Finished it off with a Blackhawks game at the United Center. Pretty much if I wasn't sleeping I was out doing something. Pretty damn exhausting but was well worth it. Chicago is a fun and interesting city.

I also just bought a pass to the Penny Arcade Expo this August in Seattle. That's gonna be interesting.

So there's been a major reorganization at work...

It makes sense in most regards for this change to happen. It's just that my direct boss has now changed, and i'll be supporting and working with our sister company. My main issue with this is that their corporate culture is very much different from my current one (and from what i've heard from everyone who works there, not in a good way). I guess I'm just afraid that this will make me start to not like my job. I really love my job right now and what I do. I feel that if this change were to make me hate my job, it would totally kill my desire to work in this field...
